PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Abstract Book

Abstracts are available online in the Wiley Online Library, Supplement 2 to Volume 41 of the Pediatric Dermatology Journal and also linked from the 23^rd ESPD Congress website.

Accreditation

The 23^rd ESPD Congress, Košice, Slovakia, 2 - 4 May 2024 is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 16 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). The CME Certificate will be distributed electronically after the event and after completing the Congress Evaluation. Airport

The easiest way how to get to Košice airport from the congress venue is a taxi. Cost is approx. 25 € and the ride is about 15 minutes depending on traffic.

Badges

Name badge shall be always worn when attending the sessions and official programme. Get your badge scanned at the session hall entrance, especially if you need the EACCME Certificate. 

Cash points/ATM

There is no ATM in the venue, the nearest ATM is at the Main Square. 

Certificate of Attendance

All attending participants can download their Certificate of Attendance in the registration portal within one week after completing the Congress Evaluation form available on the website after the event. 

Cloakroom and Luggage room

Luggage room will be available in the venue on the departure day. 

Doctor / First Aid / Emergency

The nearest hospital is 1 km away. In case of emergency, please contact the Registration desk or any of the congress staff members, alternatively please call 112 directly. 

Evaluation Form

The Congress Evaluation Form (Survey) will be available online on the Congress website after the event and it will also be sent to delegates by email. The EACCME Certificate and Certificate of Attendance will be issued only after this survey is submitted, within one week time.

Insurance and Liability

The Organisers will accept no liability for personal injuries sustained or for loss or damage to property belongings of Congress participants, accompanying persons either during or because of the Congress or during the accompanying programme. Participants are strongly recommended to seek insurance coverage for health and accident, lost luggage, and trip cancellation. 

Internet

A dedicated Wi-Fi is provided in the venue to ESPD delegates. The network name is “ESPD 2024”, please see the printed Programme Book for the password or check with the Registration Desk. 

Language of the Congress

English is the official language of the 23^rd ESPD Congress. All lectures will be delivered in English and there is no interpretation provided. 

Lost & Found

A lost and found service is available at the Registration Desk in the Foyer. 

Lunches

Lunches are not provided by the Congress. Coffee/tea is provided during the Coffee break times or available from the cash bar on the ground floor. 

Mobile Phones

Participants are kindly requested to keep their mobile phones in silent mode in the meeting room while sessions are being held. 

On Demand Sessions

Sessions and posters will be available in the ESPD Virtual Platform for 2 months after the congress. 

Photos

Please do not take photos of the presentations. 

Posters

Posters are available in electronic format only, presented on screens on the 1^st floor in the venue, and online in the virtual platform during the event and for 2 months after the congress.

Registration will also be opened in the DoubleTree by Hilton on Wednesday, 1 May in 17:00 – 19:00. 

Smoking policy

Please note that smoking incl. electronic cigarettes is not permitted in the House of Arts. 

Speakers’ Preview Room

Speakers’ Preview Room is located on the ground floor in the Concert Hall backstage – please follow the signage or check with Registration desk, and it is available in the following times:

• Thursday, 2 May - 11:00 – 19:00    
• Friday, 3 May - 07:30 – 19:00
• Saturday, 4 May - 07:30 – 13:30

Presentations must be handed over to the personnel at least 2 hours before the start of the session; presentation for an early morning session should be handed over the evening before. Please refer to Authors Guidelines in this book or on the congress website.

A taxi ride to the airport takes about 15 minutes and the cost is around EUR 25.

On-demand sessions / the virtual content will be available online for 2 months after the event (until 5 July 2024).

Access to ESPD 2024 Virtual platform (live event and on-demand sessions) is for registered delegates only. Delegates are not authorized to share the platform access details to other persons. Attendance will be tracked.
