Speaker: Dr. A. Deniz Akkaya
Dr. A. Deniz Akkaya is the Department Chair of Dermatology at Istinye University School of Medicine, Istanbul. She studied medicine at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, and completed her residency in dermatology at the Haydarpaşa Numune Research and Training Hospital. She has held positions as a visiting doctor at the Pediatric Dermatology Clinic of Texas Children’s Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine and as a visiting scholar at the Pediatric Dermatology Department, University of California, San Francisco. Previously, she worked at the V.K.F. American Hospital and Koç University Hospital with a focus on Pediatric Dermatology. Currently, she is working at Ulus Liv Hospital in Istanbul along with her private practice. Her clinical and academic work is focused on vascular anomalies; in particular medical and laser therapies of various vascular birthmarks, as well as inflammatory skin diseases of childhood.

Speaker: Dr Alexandra Chatzi
Dr Alexandra Chatzi is a Pediatrician trained in Pediatric Dermatology. She studied Medicine and received the Master in Medical Research Methodology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). After gaining the board examination in Pediatrics, she attended the clinics of the Division of Pediatric Dermatology in the Department of Dermatology at Stanford University School of Medicine, USA, as a visiting physician. She received the ESPD Achievement Certificate in Pediatric Dermatology and she has been selected as a Future Leader in pediatric dermatology by the executive board of the European Society for Pediatric Dermatology . She is currently working as an academic fellow in the 3rd Department of Pediatrics in Thessaloniki, Greece. She is a PhD candidate with a special clinical and research interest in vascular malformations. She is attending and presenting her work in numerous pediatric dermatology courses and congresses.

Speaker: Dr. Iliana Tantcheva Poor
Dr. Iliana Tantcheva-Poor is a Lecturer at the University of Cologne, specializing in pediatric dermatology and rare skin diseases. She is affiliated with the Department of Dermatology and Venereology, where she leads research and clinical initiatives focused on genodermatoses, vascular anomalies, and complex dermatological conditions in children.
Dr. Tantcheva-Poor is actively involved in the Centre for Rare Diseases at the University of Cologne, contributing to the diagnosis and management of genetic skin disorders. Her expertise includes conditions such as epidermolysis bullosa, congenital ichthyosis, neurofibromatosis, and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. She collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, including geneticists, pediatricians, and surgeons, to provide comprehensive care for patients with rare dermatological conditions.

Speaker: Dr Pablo Lopez Balboa
Dr Pablo López Balboa is a Paediatrician with a special interest in Paediatric Dermatology. He completed his paediatrics training in Spain, followed by specialised training in paediatric dermatology at Niño Jesús University Children's Hospital in Madrid, Spain, in 2020. In 2021, he joined the paediatric dermatology team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children as a senior clinical research fellow, focusing on stem-cell therapy and drug repurposing in genodermatoses. His current work centres on rare skin diseases, biologic therapies, hair disorders, and laser treatments. Collaborator on multiple international projects and regular speaker at international meetings. Awarded FRCPCH in recognition of contributions to the field.

Speaker: Dr Maria Bageta
Dr Maria Bageta is a Paediatrician and Paediatric Dermatologist who has a special interest in rare diseases and laser therapy for birthmarks. She works as a Consultant at Great Ormond Street Hospital where she reviews patients with complex paediatric dermatology conditions, leads a transition clinic for patients with ichthyosis and runs laser therapy lists for children with birthmarks. Dr Bageta has a passion for research and has worked as the lead research fellow in Mission EB, a cell therapy trial for children with recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa. She is involved in a large research portfolio in Dermatology at GOSH, has presented her work at many international meetings in Dermatology, acts as a peer reviewer and has published several articles as main author and co-author in peer reviewed journals.
