Dr. Christine Prodinger

Presentation: Challenges of Epidermolysis bullosa - management and clinical trials

Biography: Christine Prodinger is a dermatologist based in Salzburg, Austria, working in the study team of the EB House Austria, a designated national center of expertise providing state-of-the art care to patients with epidermolysis bullosa and other genetically based skin diseases. She also operates an outpatient clinic for paediatric dermatology in Salzburg and serves as secretary for the Austrian Academy for Dermatological Education (OEADF) and a member of the senate for the Paracelsus Medical Private University (PMU) in Salzburg.


Caroline Colmant, MD

Presentation: Pediatric primary lymphedema

Biography:
Dr Caroline Colmant is a MD at the Department of Dermatology in the University Hospital of Leuven, Belgium. She completed her master of dermatology and venerology at the Saint-Luc University Hospital in Brussels in 2017. Her strong interest in paediatric dermatology was there aroused and during that period, she obtained the interuniversity diploma in paediatric dermatology at the University of Nice. 

The choice for an additional training in paediatric dermatology was therefore very natural: she continued her education with a fellowship in paediatric dermatology at the Sainte-Justine Hospital in Montreal (Canada), between 2018 and 2021. 

She now begins her career as paediatric dermatologist with various interests.


Dr. Karina Forde

Presentation: Paediatric vulvar lichen sclerosis

Biography: Dr Karina Forde is a dermatology specialist registrar at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge University Hospital NHS trust, UK.  She studied medicine at the National University of Ireland, Galway, where she graduated first in her class.  She trained in paediatrics and general medicine in Ireland and was awarded her certificate of satisfactory completion of specialist training (CSCST) in Paediatrics in 2020.  She has dual memberships with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health UK and the Royal College of Physicians Ireland (General Internal Medicine).  During her paediatric training she undertook a clinical fellowship in paediatric dermatology in Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, and later trained in paediatric dermatology at Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin, Dublin.  
Her clinical and research interests include neurocutaneous and vascular disorders, overgrowth syndromes, inflammatory skin disease, and infectious diseases.  She has presented her work nationally and internationally and has authored several publications in high impact journals. She is passionate about teaching and developed teaching modules in paediatric dermatology for the Royal College of Physicians Ireland Professional Diploma in Paediatrics.  She is delighted to have been selected as a Future Leader in paediatric dermatology by the executive board of the European Society of Paediatric Dermatology.
