EACCME ACREDITATION

The 22nd ESPD Congress, Málaga (live streaming), Spain, 04/05/2023-06/05/2023 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 12 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/education/earn-credit-participation-international-activities.

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Distribution of Credits

Onsite Session attendance will be tracked via a barcode on each participant's badge which will track his/her attendance in the meeting rooms. Please note each participant is responsible to ensure his/her barcode is properly scanned when entering the meeting room before the beginning of each session.

Please read the detailed programme carefully to learn when each session starts. Some sessions follow without a break immediately after the previous one finishes. Yet the barcode needs to be re-scanned at the beginning of each Parallel or Plenary Session even though no break is scheduled in the programme. Please make sure you have your badge properly scanned at the door control.
Virtual Session attendance will be tracked within the Virtual platform.

CME Certificate

The CME Certificate will be distributed electronically after the Congress to all participants who fill and submit online Congress Evaluation Form within one week after the Congress. The Evaluation Form will be available in the online congress portal, on the website and in the Virtual Platform.  Participant who does not present the Congress Evaluation Form cannot be entitled to receive the CME Certificate.

A minimum attendance of 30 minutes per session is required. Parallel sessions with the same start time are not cumulative.

CME credits can be gained during the physical attendance, by watching the live-streamed sessions, and by watching the on-demand sessions.

Industry symposia are NOT accredited.
