Accreditation
The 19th ESPD Annual Meeting, Dubrovnik, Croatia, 2 – 4 May 2019 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 13 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). The CME Certificate will be distributed electronically after the Meeting and after submitting the Meeting Evaluation Form online. For more information please see bookmark Accreditation.

Airport
Dubrovnik Airport is located approximately 22 km from the Valamar Lacroma hotel (30-minute drive). Reserve 2 hours prior to your scheduled departure to travel to the airport, to check-in, go through security and to the gates. Taxi is the best connection to the airport (estimated cost EUR 45). You can use both Croatian Kunas and Euros (change back will be given in Kunas). No airport transfers are organized by the Meeting organizers.

Badges
Name badge shall always be worn when attending the sessions and official programme.

Banks and credit cards, currency
Major credit and debit cards are accepted in Dubrovnik area and most banks have cash points.
The official currency in Croatia is Kuna/HRK (1 Croatian Kuna equals 0.13 Euro).

Cash points / ATMs
ATM/Cash machine is available in the Valamar Lacroma Hotel, located on the 2nd floor (lobby level) next to the lobby bar.

Certificate of Attendance
All registered and attending participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance via e-mail after the Meeting.

Cloakroom
Delegates staying outside of the Valamar Lacroma Hotel should refer to the hotel reception to store coats, umbrellas etc. Please kindly note that no storage for poster cases is available.

Coffee Breaks
Coffee Breaks will be held in the Exhibition area in Business Centre on Level 1.

The Meeting Organisers have taken all reasonable care in making arrangements for the Meeting. In the event of unforeseen disruptions, neither the organisers nor their agents can be held responsible for any losses or damages incurred by delegates. The programme is correct at the time of printing, but organisers reserve the right to alter the programme if and when deemed necessary. The Meeting Organisers act as agents only in securing hotels, transport and travel services, and shall in no event be liable for acts or commissions in the event of injury, damage, loss, accident delay or irregularity of any kind whatsoever during arrangements organised through contractors or by the employees of such contractors. Hotel and transportation services are subject to the terms and conditions under which they are offered to the general public. Delegates should make their own arrangements with respect to personal insurance. The Meeting Organisers reserve the right to make changes as and when deemed necessary, without prior notice to the parties concerned. All disputes are subject to resolution under Czech Law.

First aid is not available at the venue. In case of emergency, please refer to the hotel reception and ask for assistance. Hotel front desk phone number: +385 (0)20 449 100.

Electricity
The power supply in Croatia is 220 volts. Sockets accept two-round-pin style plugs, so an adaptor is needed for most non-continental appliances and a transformer for appliances operating on 100 – 120 volts.

Evaluation Form
The Meeting Evaluation Form (Survey) will be available online after the event, a link will be sent by email to all registered delegates. The CME Certificate will be issued only for
those participants who fill in and submit the survey.

Insurance and Liability
The Organisers will accept no liability for personal injuries sustained or for loss or damage to property belongings of Meeting participants, accompanying persons either during or as a result of the Meeting or during the accompanying programme. Participants Are strongly recommended to seek insurance coverage for health and accident, lost luggage and trip cancellation.

Internet
Guests staying in the Valamar Lacroma Hotel can use the Wi-Fi connection provided by the hotel. The Wi-Fi shall also be available to the Meeting participants staying outside of this hotel, please check with our Registration Desk (signal quality may vary depending on number of connections).

Language of the Meeting
The official language of the 19 th ESPD Annual Meeting is English. All lectures will be delivered in English and no interpretation is provided.

Lost & Found
A lost and found service is available at the Registration Desk (Level 1).

Luggage Room
After vacating your room on departure date (until 10 am) please refer to the hotel reception to store your luggage and coats.

Lunches
Lunches are not included in the registration fees and as such will not be provided to the Meeting participants. Snacks and refreshments can be purchased in the hotel Lobby Bar (Level 2).

Mobile Phones
Participants are kindly requested to keep their mobile phones in the silent mode in the meeting rooms while sessions are being held.

Pharmacy
Nearest pharmacy is located 1,1 km from the hotel (not open during weekend). The 24- hour pharmacy on duty can be found in downtown Dubrovnik, please ask the hotel reception for directions.

Photos
Photos and/or video records from the Event depicting you shall be used solely for reporting, documentary or our Event’s propagation purposes. You are not entitled to ask any reward for such use. You can ask to remove your picture anytime with a justifiable reasoning. Please do not take photos of the presentations.

Posters
Poster Area is located on the Level 1 (next to the Exhibition area).

  • Poster Dismantling -Saturday, 4 May 13:00 – 16:00

Programme Changes
The Meeting Organisers cannot assume liability for any changes in the programme due to the external or unforeseen circumstances.

Registration Opening Hours
  • Thursday, 2 May - 09:00 – 19:30
  • Friday, 3 May - 07:30 – 19:30
  • Saturday, 4 May - 07:30 – 15:00
Registration Desk is located on Level 1 of the Valamar Lacroma Hotel.

Shopping
A small shop with snacks, daily utilities and souvenirs is located inside of the Valamar Lacroma Hotel. Drinks are offered from the lobby bar. Supermarket “Tommy” is located 1,6 km away (“DOC centre”). Shops are to be found in downtown Dubrovnik about 6 kms away.

Smoking policy
Please note that smoking is not permitted in the Meeting areas and public areas of the hotel.

Speakers’ Preview Room
Speakers’ Preview Room is located on the Level 1 in the Kalamota meeting room and will be available in the following times:
  • Thursday, 2 May - 10:00 – 19:00
  • Friday, 3 May - 7:30 – 19:00
  • Saturday, 4 May - 7:30 – 13:00

Presentations must be handed over to the personnel either with a CD or a USB stick, as far in advance as possible and TWO hours BEFORE the start of entire session, where the presentation is to be displayed. The presentation for an early morning session should be handed over the evening before.


Taxi
Journeys to the city centre cost approximately 15 EUR and to the airport approximately 45 EUR. Fare is quoted in Kunas, however Euros may be used for payment (cash back is given in Kunas). To order a taxi please refer to hotel reception.
